When you’re done composing a campaign, you decide when it goes out. You can send immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time in the future. Amplifi handles the timing details — it uses your organization’s timezone and automatically respects quiet hours so messages reach contacts during appropriate windows.

Send now vs. schedule

At the end of the compose workflow, you choose between two options:
  • Send now — Amplifi starts processing the campaign immediately. The status moves to Pending, then Sending as messages go out.
  • Schedule — You pick a date and time. If the scheduled time is more than 30 seconds in the future, the campaign enters Scheduled status and waits until the send window arrives.
Scheduling even a few minutes into the future gives you time to review or cancel before messages go out. If you’re unsure, schedule rather than send immediately.

Timezone support

All scheduling in Amplifi uses your organization’s timezone, set in Settings → General. When you select a date and time in the composer, that time is interpreted in your org timezone. This matters when your audience spans multiple time zones — Amplifi uses the org timezone as the reference point, not the local time on your computer.
Before your first campaign, confirm your org timezone is correct in Settings. An incorrect timezone will shift all scheduled sends and affect quiet-hours enforcement.

Quiet hours

Amplifi enforces a quiet-hours window to avoid messaging contacts too early or too late. Messages are only sent between 8 AM and 9 PM in the recipient’s local time. If a send falls outside this window:
  • Messages due before 8 AM are deferred until 8 AM opens.
  • Messages due after 9 PM are deferred to the following morning.
Quiet hours apply to initial sends, retries, and resends — not just scheduled campaigns.
Campaigns with 10,000 or more recipients cannot be sent immediately after 7 PM local time. If you try to send a large campaign late in the evening, Amplifi will block the immediate send. Schedule it for the next morning instead.

Campaign statuses during the scheduling lifecycle

StatusWhen you see it

Editing a scheduled campaign

You can make changes to a scheduled campaign before it enters the Pending or Sending phase.
1

Find your scheduled campaign

Go to Campaigns in the left sidebar. Scheduled campaigns appear with a Scheduled badge and show the planned send time.
2

Open the campaign

Click the campaign to open its detail view.
3

Edit or reschedule

Use the edit option to reopen the composer. You can update the message, change the audience, or pick a different send time.
4

Save your changes

Save the campaign. It returns to Scheduled status with the updated settings.
Once a campaign moves to Pending or Sending, you can no longer edit it. If you need to stop a send that has already started, use the pause option from the campaign detail view.
