Amplifi includes several built-in features that help you send responsibly: automatic opt-out handling, quiet hours enforcement, phone number textability checks, and Do Not Disturb suppression. These features reduce the risk of messaging contacts who shouldn’t receive texts and help you stay within acceptable sending windows.Documentation Index

Opt-out handling
When a contact replies STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message sent through Amplifi, the platform automatically marks that contact as opted out. Opted-out contacts are suppressed from all future campaign and poll sends. How opt-outs are triggered
Opt-outs are processed automatically when an inbound reply containing STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE is received. No manual action is required. You can also manually opt a contact out from their contact record or directly from the Conversations inbox.Where to see opted-out contacts
Opted-out contacts remain in your contact list but are flagged with their opt-out status. You can filter your contact list by opt-out status to see who has opted out and when.Re-opt-ins
If an opted-out contact later provides consent and you need to re-enable messaging, you can update their opt-out status manually on their contact record. Make sure you have documented consent before doing so.Quiet hours
Amplifi restricts message delivery to between 8 AM and 9 PM in the recipient’s local timezone. Messages outside this window are not sent immediately—they are held and delivered when the window opens.Quiet hours are enforced automatically by the platform for all outbound campaigns and polls. You do not need to configure them. They apply to every send, including scheduled campaigns and automated messages.
How quiet hours affect scheduling
If you schedule a campaign to go out during quiet hours—for example, at midnight—Amplifi holds the messages and begins delivery at 8 AM in the recipient’s local timezone. The campaign will show as scheduled until the window opens. Campaigns with large audiences (10,000 or more recipients) cannot be launched immediately after 7 PM local time to avoid messages queuing near the quiet hours cutoff.Timezone resolution
Quiet hours are evaluated against your organization’s timezone setting. You can review and update this in Settings → General.Textability checks
Before sending, Amplifi checks whether a phone number is textable—meaning it’s a valid mobile number capable of receiving SMS. Numbers that fail this check are excluded from sends automatically. Textability results are cached for 30 days to avoid repeated lookups. You can see textability status on each contact record and use it as a filter when building segments or targeting campaigns.Textability filtering helps you avoid wasted sends to landlines or invalid numbers, but it is not a guarantee of delivery. Carrier-level delivery is always subject to factors outside Amplifi’s control.
Do Not Disturb (DND) suppression
Contacts flagged as Do Not Disturb are suppressed from outbound sends alongside opted-out contacts. DND status can be set manually on a contact record or updated via import.Compliance features summary
